Mittelmoda District & International Lab of Mittelmoda – Special Edition GO!2025 Celebrates Young Fashion Talent in Gorizia
The Teatro Verdi in Gorizia recently hosted the Mittelmoda Special Edition GO!2025, an extraordinary event that brought together the two souls of Mittelmoda — the International Lab – The Fashion Award and the regional Mittelmoda District — in a single, spectacular fashion show open to the public.
Thanks to the collaboration of the Chamber of Commerce Venezia Giulia, the event highlighted the creative synergy between local students from fashion schools across Friuli Venezia Giulia and emerging international designers, continuing Mittelmoda’s 30-year legacy of connecting education, industry, and creativity.

A Stage for Global Creativity
Founded in Gorizia in 1993, Mittelmoda – The Fashion Award is one of the world’s most prestigious international fashion competitions. With connections to over 680 fashion schools in 71 countries, Mittelmoda has established itself as a global platform for creativity, innovation, and dialogue between emerging designers and industry leaders, while promoting the excellence of Made in Italy.
Under the presidency of Matteo Marzotto and with Angela Missoni representing the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, the International Lab of Mittelmoda operates as an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to supporting creativity, craftsmanship, and innovation throughout the fashion supply chain — from materials and garments to accessories and jewelry.
Through a protocol with Confindustria Moda and key industry associations such as Milano Unica, Lineapelle, MIDO, and Micam, Mittelmoda continues to act as a strategic hub that nurtures young talent and fosters collaboration among designers, technical experts, and digital professionals.
In line with this mission, plans are underway to establish a post-diploma Technical Institute in Gorizia, aiming to train professionals for the fashion and textile industries and to provide new employment opportunities for young people in the region.
