INTERNATIONAL LAB OF MITTELMODA AT GO!2025

"Fashion is culture. The world of Italian and international fashion cannot be missing from GO!2025. For this reason, we eagerly accepted the invitation of the Venice Giulia Chamber of Commerce and will organize a major event in Gorizia this fall, with a Special Edition of Mittelmoda."

GO!2025

With these words, Matteo Marzotto, president of the International Lab of Mittelmoda, opened the meeting with Antonio Paoletti, president of the Venice Giulia Chamber of Commerce, held at the Villa Russiz Foundation in Capriva del Friuli (Go).
President Paoletti wanted to meet Marzotto at Villa Russiz because the entrepreneur and iconic figure of Italian fashion and style had expressed the desire to learn about this reality, which combines social commitment, solidarity, economy, and winemaking. This aligns with the Marzotto family’s DNA, which, since its beginnings with grandfather Gaetano, established the first textile manufacturing company in Valdagno with social services for workers, similar to what Baron Ritter had done in the 19th century. The combination of economy and non-profit is also at the heart of Mittelmoda The Fashion Award, an initiative to support young fashion design students' job placements, which was born 30 years ago in Gorizia and will return there in 2025.

"We want to re-establish a more effective relationship and further develop the concept of Mittelmoda for our Friuli Venezia Giulia region, where the initiative was born," said Paoletti during the meeting, "seizing the opportunity of Nova Gorica and Gorizia being European Capital of Culture 2025 to restart a series of initiatives between the fashion world and Gorizia. Fashion is both economy and culture, and the high-level relationships this organization, born in Gorizia, has created in Italy and around the world can be an added value for our local and regional reality."

The special edition of Mittelmoda The Fashion Award, which will also feature Villa Russiz as a venue for meetings with Italian and foreign delegations of entrepreneurs, journalists, and experts, will culminate in a spectacular evening on Friday, November 7, 2025, with a public fashion show in Gorizia. The location, details, and protagonists will be revealed at a dedicated press conference. The fashion of the entire world will be represented at GO!2025 by selected designers from a network of fashion schools and academies from 50 countries, joined by students from local regional schools.
