ABOUT UGO:
My name is Ugo Bompas, I was born in France and I'm 25 years old. From an early age, I developed a passion for sport, nature and physical activity, as well as for art, drawing, painting and sewing. These interests have influenced many decisions in my life.
I'm currently a student at the Arsutoria school in Milan, where I'm learning the skills I need to become a footwear designer. I'm constantly keeping abreast of current trends and incorporating them into my work. I'm passionate about the whole world of footwear, from new technologies to classic industrial processes and old manufacturing techniques. Serious and hard-working, I give my all to bring ambitious projects to fruition and produce precise, accomplished work. The demands, the quest for performance, the innovation and creativity that this
environment requires are real sources of motivation for me.
I'm constantly looking for challenges that thrill me. Sport, in particular, occupies a central place in my life. I practiced judo for over 15 years, attaining the level of black belt. This sport taught me discipline, perseverance and how to deal with victory and defeat. Surfing has enabled me to open up to others, thanks to a sport that is shared around the world. As for running, it not only allows me to surpass myself physically, but also to cultivate values such as perseverance and endurance.
This quest for adventure has led me to explore many countries (USA, Asia, Africa) to discover diverse cultures and ways of life. Living among local populations and forging strong human bonds have enriched my vision of the world and enabled me to develop a unique sensitivity that I integrate into my creative work.
I have also initiated several personal creative and entrepreneurial projects. These projects reflect my passion for innovation and my ability to transform ideas into concrete achievements. All these projects can be found in my portfolio, where each one bears witness to my commitment, creativity and attention to detail. Notably, I developed a mask holder during the COVID period, responding to a specific need and continually adapting to the health situation.
My professional experience began with a Master's degree in physiotherapy, obtained in France. My knowledge of biomechanics and how the body works are major assets that enable me to offer relevant and useful products. This expertise has enabled me to understand the importance of comfortable footwear and to design products that respect the body's biomechanics and anatomy. My philosophy is to offer design products that respect the human being. I want to create footwear that preserves man's natural way of walking, and use nature as a space for entertainment and expression.
My aim is to enable a journey through the body and nature.
