ABOUT TAMAR's:

My name is Tamar Elbaz, 26 years old from Tel Aviv, Israel. I am the youngest in my family. My father is an entrepreneur and business man, and my mother owns an insurance business. I have two sisters: the eldest, Hagar, is also involved in the design world and completed her industrial design degree at Shenkar College five years ago. My middle sister, Noa, is currently pursuing her second degree in neuroscience.

I grew up in a household where art and culture were integral parts of life. From a young age, I was exposed to exhibitions, museums, performances, and shows. My introduction to the realms of design and my decision to study fashion design were neither random nor unexpected. I studied at "Ironi Alef" School of Arts, specializing in dance, where I focused on classical ballet and modern dance. Additionally, I was a guid at the scouts.

I continued guiding during my military service, serving as a communication guide. After completing 12 years of studies with an outstanding high school diploma, two years of military service, and a three-month trip that included visits to Japan and South Korea, I realized how deeply fashion excites me, its various forms of expression, and its significant role in cultural and local experiences. Subsequently, I enrolled in fashion design studies at Shenkar College, where I am set to graduate this July after four challenging and meaningful years of study, both personally and professionally.

To me, fashion is not just a career path but a means of self-expression. I am constantly exploring, learning, questioning, and challenging myself on the topics that most intrigue me. Garments and the design process are my tools for self-expression. As an emerging fashion designer, I strive to innovate, elevate, and continually be the best version of myself.

I understand the profound influence of the dance world on me. The years dedicated to dance significantly impact my design aesthetics and approach. I see a strong connection between these two worlds—the influence of movement on the body and the synergy of a dancing body with creatively designed clothing inspires much of my work.

In my free time, I enjoy watching dance performances, watching films, and visiting exhibitions. Art is an integral part of my life, and I draw inspiration from various artworks. Another area of great interest to me is culinary world. My partner owns a fishs and vegetable restaurant in Ashdod, Israel, which emphasizes seasonality and local agriculture. Through him, I have delved deeper into the culinary world, appreciating his vision expressed through inspiring food that resonates with many dimensions of the fashion world.
Apart from being a student in the fashion design department, I work as a costume designer, personal stylist, and fashion stylist for production. I have participated in numerous productions, including editorial shoots featured in international magazines worldwide. For example, one of my recent productions was published in the Korean magazine PAP MAGAZINE.

Upon completing my degree, I aim to further explore and deepen my understanding of the fashion world, gaining experience in the global industry, learning from experienced professionals, and developing the skills acquired during my studies. After a significant period of exploration, internships, and learning, my goal is to establish a brand where I can fulfill my dreams, realize my vision, and continue to strive for personal and professional advancement.
