ABOUT THIS PROJECT

Sofia Scarponi is a young woman who wants to realize herself.
Born in a small town on the sea, grew up with a love for art, design, change; she feeds on sensitivity through perceptions, dusty books, exhibitions, perfumes, stories in which to immerse oneself and to be able to tell.
Before starting an academic career, she traveled for a year alone in Europe, exhibiting small exhibitions of photography and engravings. On this travel she tried to know herself and to cure scars from a big loss. From this story the idea of the Capsule Collection was born: "Zero +".

To get to the eyes of the spectators, she had to dig and work on her ego. The aim is to reactivate and provoke a tension, an emotional imbalance, and accept the transience of things, of imperfect, incomplete beauty, and of time that passes. An austere beauty almost sad, veiled in melancholy, closed in itself and not completely expressed: the disorder that becomes the object of desire. "Zero +" blood type, in common, with what today remains her "painting by Turner".

Accessories that are a poster, which contain the description of our identity and are able to speak for themselves; a new way to communicate and get to know each other even in the absence of words but only through a direct connection of emotions.

From the different experiences as a sales assistant, she learned the discipline, she developed a strong ability to get a perspective view of the trade and the trend.

Participating in the product cycle as Leather goods and Accessories Designer was the most fundamental aspect of the experience in the "Exploring Italian Leather Sustainability" project in partnership with Gucci - Unic - Lineapelle Industria and from tanneries like Antiba, Bonaudo, Caravel, Incas, Russo di Casandrino, Sciarada; and from the experience of AltaRoma Talents 2019.
