ABOUT MIKAELA:
I'm a footwear and leather goods designer from the south of Brazil. I'm from a family of immigrants, which is why my parents' hard work inspires me to create.
Footwear has been in my family for generations, as my great-grandfather could only flee the Armenian Genocide because he was a cobbler.
My grandfather started working in shoes and my father after him. I'm the first woman in a generation of people that have quite literally survived through footwear and I couldn't be more honored.
