Matilde Gori is a fashion designer studying at Istituto Marangoni in Florence. Drawing was her first language, and fashion became the way to turn that instinct into something tangible, transforming ideas on paper into garments, structures, and projects.

Her approach is grounded in a sartorial education built on research, precision, and method. From this solid foundation, she chose to move into knitwear, drawn to its technical complexity and experimental potential. Working with yarns has taught her to approach materials differently: to understand their behaviour, work within their limits, and turn those limitations into new possibilities.

Curiosity and determination shape her creative process, which balances sensitivity with a structured and hands-on approach. She is interested in the dialogue between technique and experimentation, where careful construction can coexist with a more intuitive way of developing ideas.

For Matilde, fashion is a continuous process of translating thought into form. Whether through drawing, tailoring, or knitwear, she looks for new ways to give structure to an idea while remaining open to what the material itself can suggest.
