ABOUT MARIE BERNADETTE
I was born in 1996 in Schrobenhausen, a remote and calm village in in southern Germany.
Growing up I developed a strong passion for creating, especially for sewing clothes for and by myself. In order to turn this intuitive and naïve approach towards fashion design into tangible skills and knowledge, I decided to move to Italy for my Bachelor’s degree and to study at Accademia Costume e Moda in Rome.
During these three intense and enriching years I immersed myself into costume design, fashion design and accessory design. As I discovered that the latter is what fits my creativity best, I focused my final work on leather goods and shoes. The resulting men/women/unisex collection called “SCALPEL” was presented during the ACM Talents fashion show in February 2020 and has now been selected for the finals of Mittelmoda 2021.
After my graduation I had the chance to learn and grow professionally in two very opposed companies: first for seven months at Ann Demeulemeester in Antwerp and afterwards at Golden Goose in Milan, both times interning in the accessory and shoes design team.
I can’t wait to discover where this path will take me next.
