Giulia Lin is a recent graduate of Istituto Marangoni Firenze. Raised in Prato in a family connected to the fashion industry, she grew up surrounded by the rhythms of textile production and developed an early awareness of how garments are shaped not only by design, but also by the systems behind them.

Over time, this familiarity evolved into a more critical approach to fashion. Rather than looking at Prato simply as one of Europe’s major textile districts, Giulia uses it as a lens through which to observe wider changes in contemporary society. Her practice begins with close observation, examining how productivity, efficiency, and constant availability have come to influence the way we live and experience everyday life.

Through fashion, she questions behaviours and conditions that have gradually become normalised, exploring the relationship between individuals and the systems that surround them. Her work is driven by research and a desire to make visible what often remains unnoticed within familiar structures.

Her approach has already received recognition, including a CNMI Special Mention at Milano Moda Graduate and the Upcoming Prize at The NIC Award in Tokyo, marking her as a young designer with a distinctly critical perspective on fashion and its wider social context.
