ABOUT FROMM'S COLLECTION:
In my collection I want to explore how the restrictions of office menswear in my fathers generation can be refreshed by mixing those elements with contemporary references to sports and streetwear while keeping classic shapes and details from menswear tailoring.
To fill the relatively classic and wearable silhouettes, I player around a lot with creating hybrids of different techniques such as laser-cutting, sublimation printing, graphic design and weaving.
This enabled me to create a 3D „update“ of the classic menswear check pattern.
By adding these textiles troughout the collection onto shirts, ties and Hoodies
I was able to make these pieces dynamic and fresh again without chaning their wearabilty and functionality too much.
It was my goal to achieve a balanced variety of levels of experimentalism, wearability and masculinity. Some gestures more subtle, some more exaggerated. So that I offer a bandwith of clothes that speak to different kind of men from different backgrounds, age groups, professions etc.
Using the textile and print design as a red line to weave the pieces into a cohesive yet diverse collection. The Accessoires, just like the clothes, were a tool to further merge the initially opposing inspirations of business men and hooligans.
