ABOUT DANIELE:
Daniele De Simone is an Italian eyewear designer whose work unites heritage, identity, and contemporary vision. Growing up in Abruzzo within a family of opticians for three generations, he learned to see eyewear not only as a medical instrument but as an object of style and self-expression. At the age of fifteen, he began collecting and trading glasses, nurturing both passion and independence. After attending art school, where he developed a strong aesthetic sensibility and meticulous attention to detail, he pursued further training through the Eyewear Product Manager course, which allowed him to transform his passion into a concrete creative path.
De Simone defines himself as an idealist grounded in reality, balancing technical precision with originality and beauty. His approach to design is deeply personal: he channels lived experiences into objects that embody sensitivity, resilience, and vision.
This philosophy is realized in Diddi Esse Eyewear, a project born from contradictions — between desire and duty, perfection and imperfection, fragility and strength. Rather than resolving these tensions, it inhabits them, transforming paradox into authenticity. Drawing from an industrial yet organic aesthetic, the collection merges the raw materiality of regenerated acetate with the fluidity of natural forms, while titanium details add both refinement and strength. Crafted in Italy by skilled artisans, each piece reflects a commitment to sustainability, inclusivity, and timeless quality.
