ABOUT ARIEL:

Ariel Berka is a Tel Aviv-based fashion designer whose work explores themes of female identity, autonomy, and the tension between form and control. Her design language is rooted in precision tailoring and material purity, using natural fabrics such as leather, wool, and silk in innovative and unexpected ways.

With a strong emphasis on silhouette, structure, and the emotional impact of clothing, her aesthetic combines vintage references with a minimalist, architectural approach. Her graduate collection confronts the historical and ongoing control over women’s bodies from biblical myths to modern anti-abortion laws.

Entirely made from sculpted leather and detailed with custom designed 925 silver elements, the collection draws from 1950s silhouettes, religious and medical iconography, and personal experiences of constraint and resistance to express restriction, autonomy, and identity.

Each look reflects a different facet of feminine experience from imposed motherhood to objectified beauty questioning social ideals and reclaiming space through material and form.
