ABOUT Ariana Stanciu:

Adriana Stanciu is a Romanian fashion designer working across conceptual womenswear, sculptural silhouettes, and textile experimentation. Based in Bucharest, she developed her practice at the National University of Arts, where she completed a BA in Fashion Design and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree.

Her work begins with an interest in shape, texture, and the expressive possibilities of fabric. Natural forms often provide a starting point for her research, which she translates into contemporary garments through draping, pattern making, textile manipulation, and hands-on experimentation. She is particularly drawn to the point where craftsmanship and abstraction meet, creating silhouettes that transform the relationship between the body and the garment.

In 2025, Adriana presented her graduation collection through several Romanian fashion platforms, including the UNArte Graduation Fashion Show, BeCreative, Feeric Fashion Week, and Transilvania Fashion Festival. She was also selected for the NEXT GENERATION competition at Mercedes-Benz Bucharest Fashion Week. In 2026, she presented a 14-look collection as part of Romanian Creative Week’s NEW WAVE emerging designers competition.

Alongside fashion, Adriana is a member of the Union of Visual Artists of Romania in the Painting Section, an experience that further informs her visual and material approach.

Her practice continues to explore how fabric, form, and craftsmanship can turn natural references into bold, wearable expressions.
