Born and raised in Calabria, Anna Mignolli carries a strong sense of belonging shaped by family, places, memories, and the small details of everyday life. These personal references are at the core of her approach to fashion, which she sees as a language through which identity can be expressed, questioned, and reimagined.
She moved to Milan to study Fashion Design at IED, later specialising in womenswear pattern making at Istituto Secoli. The experience of leaving her hometown and entering a new creative environment became an important part of her development, allowing her to look at herself and her roots from a different perspective.
For Anna, the creative process begins from within. Research is first personal and intuitive, rooted in memories, relationships, and the places that have shaped her, before becoming a question of silhouette, construction, and aesthetics.
Her work reflects a desire to translate where she comes from into contemporary fashion, exploring how personal history can become a starting point for understanding who we are—and who we might become.
