ABOUT ANGELINA:

Angelina Brodsky is a fashion designer born in Uzbekistan and based in Israel. At the age of five, she immigrated with her family, moving from a Muslim country where they lived in a predominantly Christian neighborhood into the diverse and layered reality of Israeli society. This transition profoundly shaped her worldview, teaching her to value difference, respect others, and build identity from a place of choice.

Drawn to clothing and aesthetics from a young age, Angelina observed how people dressed and used those impressions to craft her own looks, finding confidence and grounding in unfamiliar environments. Knitting has been a part of her life since childhood — a family tradition passed down from Uzbekistan — and over time it became her core design language.

At Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, she expanded her skills in hand knitting, textile development, patternmaking, sketching, and digital tools such as Illustrator, Photoshop, Fusion 360, and CLO3D. Her training also includes corset-making through the Miller method and an internship at a bridal studio, where she honed her expertise in draping and construction.

Her design practice is personal, precise, and emotionally driven. Through fashion, Angelina explores themes of identity, protection, and the search for an inner sense of home. Her garments combine heritage craft with contemporary design approaches, transforming knitting into a medium of storytelling that connects memory, culture, and resilience.
