ABOUT Alba Semper Rodriguez:
Alba Semper is a fashion designer whose practice unfolds at the intersection of fashion, costume, and performance. Currently studying Fashion Design at LCI Barcelona, she has developed a distinctive approach shaped by her background in classical ballet, where movement, rhythm, and the expressive potential of the body became central to her creative vision.
Drawn to the narrative power of clothing, Alba designs garments that do more than dress a performer—they become an active part of the story, enhancing emotion, gesture, and stage presence. Whether for opera, contemporary dance, or live performance, her work explores how costume can transform both character and space.
Her collaborations include Oh!Pera! – Estètica i massacre, produced by the Gran Teatre del Liceu in partnership with Disseny Hub Barcelona, alongside the contemporary dance productions Cryless and Cerdo y Pimienta. Beyond the stage, she has worked as a stylist for artist Kelly Isaiah and the production company GIO Symphonia, while her work has appeared in several fashion publications.
Blending fashion with the performing arts, Alba continues to develop a practice where craftsmanship, movement, and storytelling come together to create garments that are as expressive as the performances they inhabit.
