About This Project

Starting out by completing a Foundation Diploma at Leeds College of Art, British born Menswear designer Katrina Wagster moved on to successfully complete a Bachelor Honours degree in Fashion Design at Northumbria University.
The brand Katrina Wagster combines traditional tailoring with contemporary pattern cutting, allowing sampling and production to heavily influence the designs.

Fabrication manipulation drives the collection forward to create something individual. The style of her work is widely inspired by designers such as Yohji Yamamoto, Junya Watanabe and Kris Van Asche. The brand Katrina Wagster would be very well suited to be sold within Dover Street Market.
From undertaking a year within industry before graduation, Katrina was able to embark on a Semester exchange at the Royal Institute of Technology in Melbourne before returning to the UK to work for a variety of Internships.
Once a womenswear designer, Katrina Wagster has worked from high end bespoke to high street but is now highly recognised for her talent and attention to detail within Menswear tailoring at Graduate Fashion Week 2014, plus being selected as a ‘ones to watch’ from Stefan Siegel, Not Just a Label and the Central Fashion Designers of America Award.

The brand of Katrina Wagster is one to keep your eye out for.
