My name’s Chen Shen, I am 24. I was born in Zhejiang, China, and I moved to Milan together with my family in 2010.
Thanks to my parents, both tailors, I got in contact with the fashion environment, so that my passion increased more and more.
I started studying at Istituto Secoli in 2013, attending the Menswear Patternmaking Course, because I wanted to focus on a complete vision of the garment’s building, starting from the creative process coming to the final realization. I am actually working on my final graduation project.
My style is often influenced by architecture and design, source of inspiration for creating my collection, above all from the point of view of the construction. For this reason, I prefer the over lines, in a minimal and essential way.
My collection, Indian Cult, is a contemporary key interpretation of the typical Indian wear. The spiritual aspect of the Indian cult inspired shapes and colours. Also the print, realized by me, has been inspired by the traditional symbols of this culture.
