Alicia Barnet began her career studying fashion design & technique at the Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne.
During her four years training, she had the opportunity to work with renowned brands like Elie Saab in Paris but also in studio with Fyodor Golan and Lucas Nascimento, two of London’s most promising new talents.
In her third year, she earned her first prize for her collection inspired by Russian matryoshka, in collaboration with MAC Cosmetics.
Upon graduation she moved to London to work as a fashion editor assistant in a magazine while continuing to work on personal projects either in the creation or editorial part of the industry.
Alicia’s work is largely inspired by her travels: she finds interesting to study the way people interpret fashion in the world as well as the way they dress.
The work of shapes and volumes is also present throughout each of her collections ; she does not hesitate to consult the archives of major fashion designers like Balenciaga, Saint Laurent or Azzedine Alaïa to understand how the garment is constructed and use it as inspiration.
